Description:
2 Euro KM#85 8.5000 g., Bi-Metallic Nickel-Brass center in Copper-Nickel ring, 25.75 mm. Subject: Effigy and monogram of Grand-Duke Henri Obv: the coin depicts on the left hand of the inner part the effigy of His Royal Highness, the Grand-Duke Henri, looking to the right, and on the right hand the monogram of the Grand-Duke Henri (special letter 'H' topped with a crown). The 12 stars appear in semi-circular form at the right of the monogram. The year 2004, surrounded by the mint mark as well as the engraver's initials, and the word LËTZEBUERG are written in circular form at the top of the ring. The words 'HENRI — Grand-Duc de Luxembourg' appear at the bottom of the ring. Rev: 2 on the left-hand side, six straight lines run vertically between the lower and upper right-hand side of the face, 12 stars are superimposed on these lines, one just before the two ends of each line, superimposed on the mid - and upper section of these lines; the countries of Eurozone is represented on the right-hand side of the face; the right-hand part of the representation is superimposed on the mid-section of the lines; the word ‘EURO’ is superimposed horizontally across the middle of the right-hand side of the face. Under the ‘O’ of EURO, the initials ‘LL’ of the engraver appear near the right-hand edge of the coin. Edge: Reeded with 2 * *, repeated six times, alternately upright and inverted.
