Kingdom (1922 - 1952) - Fuad I (AH1341 - 1372/ 1922 - 1936 AD), Military Uniform Bust, 100 Piastres, AH1349 (1930). 8.5g, 0.8750 Gold, .2391 Oz. AGW. Fuad was originally the Sultan of Egypt, but changed his title to king, when Great Britain formally recognized Egyptian independence in 1922. Yet Fuad was a ruler in name only, since Britain pulled the strings. Britain controlled the Suez Canal, Sudan, and Egyptian foreign policy. PROOF-LIKE BORDERLINE UNC.
