| I'm not sure whether I have muled the two images of this coin, but will check when I get back to the office. The winter olympics were held in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia in 1984. Since then, sadly, Sarajevo and Yugoslavia have become more famous for the recent Balkan war, in which Sarajevo was badly damaged by bombing and other fighting, and which has resulted in the breakdown of Yugoslavia into a number of separate nations. Even this has still not resolved the tensions in the area. |
