rare jeton struck in 1766 to commemorate the siting of a Royal refinery (silver and gold refining) at Trevoux in the Principality of Dombes. The jeton bears the mature bust of Louis XV obverse. The reverse shows a scene at Trevoux including the city wall (left) and the refinery (centre mid distance).
