Description:
50 Litu KM#193 50 litas coin dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Dionizas Poška’S Baubliai. In the centre of the obverse of the coin, there is the national emblem of the state Vytis, the inscriptions LIETUVA (Lithuania), 2012 and 50 LITŲ are arranged in a semi-circle. The obverse of the coin bears an extract from Dionizas Poška work “Peasant of Samogitia and Lithuania”. There is also the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint impressed on the obverse of the coin. The reverse of the coin pictures the stylised Dionizas Poška Baublys, the inscriptions DIONIZO POŠKOS BAUBLIAI and 200 are arranged in a circle. The reverse of the coin bears an extract from Dionizas Poška work “Peasant of Samogitia and Lithuania”. Silver Ag 925. Quality proof. Diameter 38.61 mm. Weight 28.28 g. The words on the edge of the coin: VAISTINĖ PROTO YRA PO TUO STOGU (A pharmacy of the mind is beneath that roof). Designed by Rūta Ničajienė and Giedrius Paulauskis. Mintage 4,000 pcs. Issued 11.05.2012. The coin was minted at the state enterprise Lithuanian Mint.
