Description:
2 Zlote Y#626 8.1500 g., Brass, 27 mm. Subject: Polish Painters of the Turn of 19th & 20th Centuries Obv: An image of the Eagle established as the State Emblem of the Republic of Poland. On the left-hand side, a palette and two paint brushes. At the bottom a semicircular inscription, 2 ZŁ, at the top a semicircular inscription, RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, and the notation of the year of issue: 2007. The Mint’s mark under the Eagle’s left leg, M/W Rev: An image of Leon Wyczółkowski, in accordance with the self-portrait of 1927, against the background of a stylized detail of the picture ”Dęby rogalińskie” (Oak trees of Rogalin) by Leon Wyczółkowski, 1926. On the right-hand side, a semicircular inscription, LEON WYCZÓ¸KOWSKI, and on the lefthand side a semicircular inscription, 1852–1936 Edge: : An inscription, NBP, eight times repeated, every second one inverted by 180 degrees, separated by stars.
