Description:
2 Zlote Y#821 8.1500 g., Brass, 27 mm. Subject: 150 Years of the National Museum in Warsaw. Obv: Image of the Eagle established as the State Emblem of the Republic of Poland, at the sides of the Eagle the notation of the year of issue, 20-12, underneath the Eagle, an inscription, ZŁ 2 ZŁ, in the rim an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, preceded and followed by six pearls. The Mint’s mark under the Eagle’s left leg: M/W Rev: On the right, stylised image of sitting Stańczyk, a court jester of Polish kings, from Jan Matejko painting “Stańczyk”. On the left, semicircular inscription: 150 LAT MUZEUM NARODOWEGO/W WARSZAWIE (150 years of the National Museum/in Warsaw). Edge: An inscription, NBP, eight times repeated, every second one inverted by 180 degrees, separated by stars. Coin designer: Ewa Tyc-Karpińska
