Roman silver denarius of Emperor Domitian, AD 81 - 96. Obverse legend is retrograde, i.e. read from the outside of the coin, and rotates anticlockwise. Although this coin is undated, it was issued in 81 AD, or possibly 82, as we can tell from the legend (inscription) on the reverse which reads: TR P II COS VII DES VIII PP.
