William Betty - 'The Young Roscius', Great Britain. William Henry West Betty was born in 1791 and first appeared on stage at the age of eleven. He usually played Shakespearean parts and was seen in London for the first time on December 1, 1804. His success caused jealousy among the established actors of the time and eventually he couldn't get work. A rare pewter medal.
