Le couronnement, France. This piece has the date in the Revolutionary calendar. It translates roughly to 'Crowned the 11th Frimaire, year XIII', which is incorrect. The coronation had been scheduled for late November but was ultimately postponed until December 2nd in order to let the Pope cross the Alps. Many of the German jetons, like this one, bear the original date.
