Description:
Very rare French bi-metallic jeton (brass outer and silver inner)issued during the reign of Henri III. Obverse bears the arms of france. Reverse shows Peace leaning against armnaments. Legend `pax nititur armis' literally means `peace maintained by arms (strength)'.
Not in brilliant condition, but it is the only one i've ever seen of this type.
