Silver jeton issued by the `Societe Libre D'Emulation' (Rouen), a scholarly society arising from the french revolution dedicated to promoting the honourable activity of emulation of the great and the successful in French society. This jeton by F Jeuffroy is (I believe) an original piece minted circa 1800.
