Kingdom of Langchang (Today Laos and north-east Thailand). 'Leech money' or 'Tiger Tongue money'. 57.38g, Silver (Approx. 60-75%), 90mm. Issued in the Laos region from 1571-1592. This silver bar was called 'Tiger Tongue' because of its long, flat, tongue-like shape. It's valued by weight. This smaller silver tiger tongue with 3 regnal stamps is the scarest type amongst Tiger tongue series. This is one of the most sought-after issues of the 'primitive money' series. aVF. Very Scarce.
