Description:
Rare silver jeton struck for Joseph Philip Intervale Glandat who was dean of the Faculty of Medecine in Paris 1780/82. Obverse his bust. Reverse is a scen depicting Alexander the Great taking medecine from his Doctor Philip, who is also depicted reading the letter which falsley accuses him of poisoning Alexander.
sadly some less than bright spark obliterated the date from the exergue!
