| Quarter Standing Liberty design type I - first year. Liberty's breast undraped. Graded NGC66 not quite full head. This design was changed very shortly after release due to public unease with the display of liberty's uncovered breast. The revised design, type II, covered Liberty with armor. This coin exhibits full details everywhere except for the head where a slight scuff has obscured the full head resulting in NGC not grading it "full head." Coined from fresh dies and boldly struck according to NGC (NGC Photo Proof). |
