| 50 Litu KM#195 Coin dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Lithuanian Sąjūdis (from the series “Lithuania’s Road to Independence”). The obverse of the coins features Vytis, a stylized coat-of-arms of the Republic of Lithuania, and fragments of barricades in the centre; the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA) is arranged in a semicircle above them; the respective denominations 50 LITŲ (50 litas) are placed at the bottom. Also featured on the coin is the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint. On the reverse of the coin, a fragment of a photograph by Zinas Kazėnas is memorialized in the centre, the year of issue 2013 on the left, the inscription LIETUVOS SĄJŪDIS 25 (LITHUANIAN SĄJŪDIS 25) on the right. Silver Ag 925; quality — proof; diameter — 38.61 mm; weight — 28.28 g. On the edge of the coin: SU SĄJŪDŽIU UŽ LIETUVĄ (WITH SĄJŪDIS FOR LITHUANIA). Designed by Rytas Jonas Belevičius. Mintage 4,000 pcs. Issued 31.05.2013. The coin was minted at the state enterprise Lithuanian Mint. |
