The obverse shows a replica of a "mouton d'or" as they were minted in Vilvoorde during the reign of the dukes of Brabant Joanna and Wenceslas. The reverse shows the heraldic shields of Vilvoorde (center) and the 4 cities to which it has jumelage ties: Maubeuge (France), Ennepetal (Germany), Middelburg (the Netherlands) and Komatsu City (Japan). This medal was minted by the Europe Mint in 0.999 silver with a mintage of 1000.
