| My husband & I found this coin in an old piece of furniture. We are curious as to its origin & age. The coin is dated 1662, but we do not know if this is the actual date or perhaps a commemorative date. We believe the writing on the coin is German. The coin is approx. 2.5 inches in diameter. It appears silver, but one side is badly tarnished. Any idea how to safely clean it? I can provide a better scan, just email me.
