1867 - 1967 large (76 mms - 238 grams) silver medallion by John Pinches, for the Centennial of the Confederation of Canada, one of a pair, both #6 of only 100 issued.
The 4 attractive maidens on the obverse represent the original 4 provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec, while the 12 shields on the reverse represent the 12 constituent parts as at 1967, except that the one shown at 10.30 should represent Newfoundland and Labrador, but appears not to, perhaps it refers to a n
