| 16 Skilling. Denmark introduced a new monetary system in 1813 of which this is an example. The 16 skilling piece was a one year type. The edge is a bit unusual with a line cut into it halfway giving it a striped appearance. The device was probably to prevent people from shaving the coins and passing underweight coins as if they were full. |
