| This is the first type of Chile 50 pesos gold, and was issued for only one year. From 1932 onwards the second type prevails. On the 1st type, there is a sharp truncation below the head, the 100 Ps on the reverse is normal and read clockwise as does the CIEN PESOS, whereas on the 2nd type it is retrograde. All The lettering is slightly smaller on the first type. Please see our 1946 coin. |
