| There are 2 countries called Congo, the 'Republic of Congo', and the 'Democratic Republic of Congo'. On a site such as Omnicoin, it is not so bad to lump them all as one. The coin shown was issued by the DRC as stated in its obverse legend. Strangely enough, the 'Certificate of Authenticity' which accompanies the coin, and which was issued by Westminster, states them to be issued by the Republic of Congo. Westminster are a UK based multi-million pound modern issue coin marketing company. |
