| 1838 SEATED LIBERTY QUARTER (No Drapery). This was the first year of the Seated Liberty Quarter design and one of only 3 date/mm combinations available for the No Drapery type. This unquestionably original example is generally well struck, with slight flatness on stars 6-8, and some weakness at Liberty's hair. The surfaces are very clean, with no distracting marks.
