| Joe Napoleon is pictured on this 1814 gold 40 Lire from the Kingdom of Napoleon. Napoleon's coronation as King of Italy took place in Naples on 26th May 1805. His brother-in-law Joachim also appeared as the King of Naples from 1813. On checking up, it looks as though I was talking rubbish there. According to Krause, this is Napoleon I, so just where did I get my earlier information from? More to follow. |
