| Silver Dollar. The Victoria Cross of Canada (Canada VC), based on the original Victoria Cross (VC), is awarded for extraordinary valour against hostile forces. Canada's highest honour, it is awarded to members of the Canadian Forces and to allies serving under or with Canadian military command. The last VC awarded to a Canadian was in 1945 and the last living recipient, Smokey Smith, died in 2005. No one has been awarded or nominated for the Canada VC to date. |
