| The Waratah is the state flower of New South Wales. It is the first in a series of 9 gold proofs, issued annually through to 2003. The coin shown is a $100 gold proof containing 1/3 trou ounces of fine gold, there is also a $150 series, identical designs, but larger, with a half ounce of gold in each coin.
