| In 1976 Canada issued gold one hundred dollar commemorative coins for the Montreal Olympics. Rather confusingly, two similar coins were issued with different weights and alloys, so that one coin contains a half ounce of fine gold, while the other contains only a quarter ounce. This is the large version. |
