This is the first type of Chile 50 pesos gold, and was issued for only one year. From 1932 onwards the second type prevails. On the 1st type, there is a sharp truncation below the head, the 100 Ps on the reverse is normal and read clockwise as does the CIEN PESOS, whereas on the 2nd type it is retrograde.
