Description:
First introduced in 1839 the $5 Half Eagle, also know as the Liberty Head Half Eagle or Coronet Half Eagle, enjoyed an uninterrupted run of 70 years before being replaced in 1907. It also is the only coin to have been minted at 7 US Mints (Philadelphia, Dahlonega, Charlotte, New Orleans, San Francisco, Carson City, and Denver).
The obverse depicts Lady Liberty facing left wearing a coronet with the word LIBERTY inscribed on it. On the reverse is the John Reich Eagle with shield with the wings enlarged to reach across the coin. Mint marks are located beneath Eagle on the reverse.
The $5 Half Eagle is favored by collectors and investors alike. I don't know of any collector who wouldn't want to own at least one with PCGS Book Value USD 4200,-
